Things to do in Dublin

When is the last time you explored your capital city?  And for those from far off shores, when are you coming to visit us and our amazing city of Dublin?

There is so much to see and do in Dublin, here are a few of my favourite things to do:

‘Feel like the King’ at Dublin Castle.

As one of the most visited tourist sites in Europe, a visit to the Guinness Storehouse will be on your agenda.  A pint of the ‘black stuff’ in the place it originated from is not to be missed.  But what about our Whiskey Heritage?  At Telling’s Distillery you will find out about the process of making whiskey and get to enjoy a couple of samples. I may even tell you the story of the great whiskey fire of Dublin on our tour.

‘Have a drop’ of the local brew.

‘Chance your arm’ at St Patrick’s Cathedral.

For over 800 years the cathedral has been a part of our city.  There are so many stories to be told.  In 1492 two noble Irish families were fighting over the position of Lord Deputy. To settle the dispute a hole was cut into a door in the cathedral so they could safely shake hands to end it.  Thus, leading to the phrase ‘chance your arm’.

This is only a small sample of great sightseeing adventures in Dublin.  So, what is the best way to see the city?  On a Bike Tour!
