MyBikeorHike Terms and Conditions
MyBikeorHike is a Tourist Operator and Guide operating in the Dublin and Environs Region. This document sets out the terms and conditions under which the business operates, as follows:
By default, all booking are made through the online booking system which is integrated with the company website, https://www.mybikeorhike.ie. A small booking fee will apply. Alternative booking methods can be used by making contact with MyBikeorHike using the contact form or other means published on the website, and advance agreement of not less than 72 hours.
As all tours are less than one day in duration, advanced payment in full is required in order to complete a booking, at least 72 hours in advance of the start date and time of the tour, unless otherwise stated. By default, payments are made via secure online transaction through the booking platform at the time of booking. Alternative payment methods can be used with prior agreement with Mybikeorhike at the time of booking.

Cancellation & Changes By The Client
Where the client cancels a tour more than 72 hours in advance of its scheduled commencement time, a full refund will be given.
Where the client cancels a tour less than 72 hours in advance of its scheduled commencement time, the full cost of the booking will be forfeit.
Changes to the time, duration or itinerary of a booked tour, requested by the client not less than 24 hours before the scheduled commencement of the tour, will be allowed, where reasonable, and subject to the availability of the resources necessary to operate the alternative tour.
Changes to the time, duration or itinerary of a booked tour, requested by the client less than 24 hours before the scheduled commencement of the tour, will not be allowed.
Cancellation & Changes By MyBikeorHike
While every effort is made to ensure that all tours booked proceed at the scheduled date, time and to the planned itinerary, on rare occasions, due to unforeseen circumstances, it may be necessary to make adjustments to the schedule. On such rare occasions, MyBikeorHike will endeavour to come to an agreeable alternative with the client. Where this is not possible, a full refund will be given.
Cancellation & Changes Due to Extreme Weather Conditions or Unacceptable Safety Hazards
In general, guests are advised and expected to arrive prepared for variable weather conditions, and to be prepared and suitably skilled and experienced to handle incidental, every day hazards. In extreme cases, where weather conditions or other safety hazards deem it unsafe to continue with the scheduled tour, it may be necessary to make adjustments to the schedule. On such rare occasions, MyBikeorHike will endeavour to come to an agreeable alternative with the client. Where this is not possible, a full refund will be given.
An event beyond the control of MyBikeorHike which prevents it from complying with any of its obligations under this Contract, including but not limited to:
- act of God (such as, but not limited to, fires, explosions, earthquakes, drought, tidal waves and floods);
- war, hostilities (whether war be declared or not), invasion, act of foreign enemies, mobilisation, requisition, or embargo;
- rebellion, revolution, insurrection, or military or usurped power, or civil war;
- contamination by radio-activity from any nuclear fuel, or from any nuclear waste from the combustion of nuclear fuel, radio-active toxic explosive, or other hazardous properties of any explosive nuclear assembly or nuclear component of such assembly;
- riot, commotion, strikes, go slows, lock outs or disorder, unless solely restricted to employees of the Supplier or of his Subcontractors; or
- acts or threats of terrorism.
In the event that a tour has to be cancelled due to Force Majeure then an alternative tour will be offered at no extra cost. If this is not possible then a full refund will be given
Liability / Insurance / Waiver
MyBikeorHike is fully insured to undertake the types of tours it operates. Notwithstanding, clients are advised to have in place their own insurances, such as travel, health, etc, so that they are covered in the event of an accident. Clients are also required to sign a waiver, stating that they accept that the tour activities in which they are engaging involve an inherent level of risk, and as such take full responsibility for their own welfare in the event of any accidents or unforeseen events that MyBikeorHike could not have prevented due to reasonable and practical measures.
Fitness & Health
Clients must be in good general health and have levels of fitness suitable for the type of activity engaged in. General guidance is provided on the website as to the level of fitness required for the activity types in each tour. Any medical conditions that may present a risk to the client or others during the tour, must be disclosed in advance of commencing the tour.
MyBikeorHike is a COVID-19 Safety Charter Compliant Business. This means the necessary safety guidelines are followed and training has been completed to facilitate this
MyBikeorHike takes all necessary measures to ensure that the safety of its clients is paramount at all times. Clients are required to adhere to all safety guidance and requirements at all times during the tour, for the safety and enjoyment of all participants. Failure to do so may result in being asked to leave the tour with no refund.
Some tours include the use of public transport. While the cost of public transport may be include in the price of the tour, the client accepts that any delays or accidents resulting in delay or injury are taken at their own risk and are not the responsibility of MyBikeorHike.
Bikes / E-Bikes and Accessories Provided by MyBikeorHike
The client acknowledges that the bikes, e-bikes and accessories that are provided for tours are in good condition and undertakes to return them in that same condition. Where damage to or loss of bikes, e-bikes or accessories occur through negligence or abuse on the part of the client, the client will be liable to pay for the repair or replacement of the damaged or lost equipment.
For the safety and welfare of clients, all equipment provided will be cleaned and disinfected before and after use
Bikes / E-Bikes and Accessories Provided by the Client
The client, if they wish, may choose to provide their own bikes, e-bikes and / or accessories for the duration of a tour. In so doing, the client accepts full responsibility for ensuring that the equipment is in good working condition.
By accepting these terms and conditions, the client agrees that any likeness taken by MyBikeorHike of clients on any tours may be used, without charge in all media, for bona fide promotional or marketing purposes, including without limitation promotional materials of any kind, such as brochures or on the Internet. If the client does not agree to this, they must inform Mybikeorhike of this prior to commencement of the tour. Furthermore, any such likeness will be removed and deleted upon the written request of the client at any future time.
